Frequently asked questions
Authenticity, GI tags, shipping, returns and more.
What does “GI-tagged” mean?
A Geographical Indication (GI) is India’s legal certification that a craft genuinely originates from a specific region and is made by its traditional community — like Madhubani painting or Bidriware. We show GI status wherever it applies.
Are the products really handmade?
Yes. Every piece is made by hand by Indian artisans. Natural variation in colour, grain and finish is normal — it’s the signature of genuine handwork, not a flaw.
How do I know who made my piece?
Each product lists its craft, region and maker community. We’re steadily adding individual artisan profiles too.
Do you ship internationally?
Yes — across India and worldwide. See shipping & returns for timelines and customs details.
What’s your return policy?
Report damage or defects within 7 days for a replacement or refund. Full details on the shipping & returns page.
I’m an artisan — can I sell here?
Absolutely. Read Sell on VedikCraft or email sellers@vedikcraft.com.
