Far from home, yet home lives in me. This sky blue chiffon saree is hand-painted in black and gold, with a Doli at its heart — the palanquin that has carried every bride from one home to another, for generations. When we painted this Doli, we came across a poem- we don't know who wrote it, but the moment we read it, it felt like it was written for this saree. Of a girl who leaves behind her mother's voice, her familiar walls, her childhood dreams - and travels to a new city, carrying hope to build a home of her own. Some dreams break on the way. But she keeps going. Because she knows - This journey is hers. This home is hers. She is the root. She is the sky. This saree will be made on Order Fabric- chiffon, running blouse piece chiffon.
